Cornerstone Church
Pastor Frank Holbrook is a man radically transformed by God. A graduate of Pikeville College with a degree in Mining Technology, and an Engineer for CSX Railroad, he lived his life pursuing his love for music, playing and singing in bands and party events. He was spiritually empty and on a path of destruction in the drug/party culture. Early one morning in 1983, Frank met Jesus Christ and his life was transformed forever.
The moment Frank relinquished control of his life to God’s power, God set his feet on a new path. He began studying the Word, realizing that the musical talents God had given him could be used to glorify God!
He entered full-time in the ministry in 1986, and founded Cornerstone Church in December 1991, where he continues to pastor. He is married to Sondra, his wife of 25 years. Pastor Frank is Founder and President of F. D. Holbrook Ministries, Jesus Communications, Inc., and True Worshippers Publishing Co. He is ordained through Victory Ministries, Incorporated and has been a member over 23 years.
Cornerstone Church is nestled in the valley of Letcher County, surrounded by some of the highest and most beautiful mountains in Kentucky. Pastor Frank says, “Eastern Kentucky is our home. We love the area and we love the people!" He says, “When God called us to establish Cornerstone Church, He quickly revealed the primary purpose for our church -- to lay a foundation of the Word in the lives of those He would send. His call was/is two-fold: for some -- establish these principles for the first time; and for others -- re-establish the principles. This is what we have endeavored to do for these past 20 years. We have adopted Acts 26:18 as our vision state…To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. The reward of seeing God’s Word change individual lives is truly priceless.”
I believe this is a “whosoever will” gospel. God wants people to know it is “the whosoever wills” that can be saved, healed, delivered, blessed and do exploits for the Kingdom of God. God is faithful – all the time! He loves us just like we are, but He loves us way to much to leave us that way. Hallelujah! I am, and continue to be, a product of His ever molding and shaping!
